Hello and welcome to our deliverance page for Jersey City, NJ. If you’re struggling with spiritual bondage and are seeking deliverance, we want to help you to connect with a ministry that can help you.
The world has been getting worse in the last twenty or so years. The movies have become more overtly sexual, occultic, and violent in nature; politicians and important public figures encourage national rebellion and riots; and the churches often don’t have a workable answer. Along with other things, the expansion of evil paired with little opposition is causing more demonic and spiritual oppression in people’s lives.
These are some steps you can take as you seek deliverance:
- Repent. The Bible defines repentance as both a spontaneous or immediate action– such as repenting for a specific sin– and also as a lifestyle of rejecting sin and choosing righteousness. Repentance as a lifestyle closes doors on the enemy and keeps them closed. Since the Bible tells us that satan is always on the prowling, looking for an open doorway to enter people’s lives and harm them (1Peter 5:8), a lifestyle of repentance is important.
- Knock until a door opens. Jesus said to ask and keep asking, to seek and keep seeking, and to knock and keep knocking. The asking is directed specifically at God; the seeking is directed both at God as well as practical steps you take yourself; and the knocking is practical steps you take. When you seek deliverance ministry, you have to knock. Don’t only reach out to one ministry; reach out to several, and if none of them work out, keep reaching out until one works. That is what it means to knock: “Ask and keep on asking and it will be given to you; seek and keep on seeking and you will find; knock and keep on knocking and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who keeps on asking receives, and he who keeps on seeking finds, and to him who keeps on knocking, it will be opened” (Matthew 7:7-8, Amplified Bible).
- Join a focused fellowship. Look for a fellowship that focuses on Bible studies or prayer. This doesn’t mean you have to join a church; you can find Bible study or prayer groups in your church or in another church. You can find a group through MeetUp online, etc. A good Bible study can be very beneficial. God’s Word has the ability to penetrate and give you understanding, guidance, and wisdom about seeking deliverance as you sit in on and participate in a good Bible study or prayer group.
