We have listed several deliverance ministries here for those of you who are seeking deliverance ministry. As the Bible predicted, the spiritual climate is getting darker as we near the end of human history. Many people are suffering from demonization through generational curses, sinful habits, drug and substance use, occult curses, and other entryways. Many seek or get psychiatric attention; others use different coping mechanisms. But if you’re a Christian, then you definitely have hope as Jesus died to give deliverance first to the Christian.
The following points can help you as you seek deliverance:
- Sanctify your life to God. Deliverance without sanctification leaves open doors in your life. Paul talks often about sanctification though he doesn’t always use the word ‘sanctification’: “Therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, I urge you to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God; this is your spiritual worship. And do not be conformed any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind” (Romans 12:1-2). As you submit to and sanctify yourself to God, He will change a.) your value system, b.) your worldview, and c.) your practices or lifestyle. This is what Paul means by “the renewing of your mind”. Among other things, this helps to keep sin at bay and closes doors that the enemy would otherwise have into your life.
- Get support from mature Christians. In 1John 2:12-14, John shares the three levels of maturity available to Christians: little children (self-focused; “Oh, that You would bless me indeed” (1Chronicles 4:10); children of God), young men (others-focused; “We are well able” mindset (Numbers 13:30); servants of God), and fathers (God-focused; “Oh that You would rend the heavens and come down” (Isaiah 64;1); friends of God). Ask God to connect you with spiritual young men or spiritual fathers. They are indispensable when it comes to fighting the enemy and standing with you in spiritual warfare, personal struggle, and things pertaining to deliverance. (Read 1John 2:12-14.)
- Trust God above everyone else. Definitely get advice and counsel from other Christians whom you trust. But after all their counsel, follow the Holy Spirit’s leading which comes primarily through what the Bible has to say about deliverance, healing, and restoration for God’s people. Learn to hear God for yourself. He speaks all the time and will speak even while someone else might be giving you contrary or wrong advice.
