Hello, Pittsburgh. Welcome to our Pittsburgh deliverance page. This page is for people who are experiencing demonic torment or oppression and who are also seeking deliverance.
We have listed several ministries below that might be able to help you get deliverance from spiritual bondage. Please be sure to vet any ministry that you plan on possibly going to for deliverance so you know what to expect or if it’s a good fit.
Also, you can reach out to churches in your local area and ask them if they have a ministry that helps to break people free from spiritual bondage. Some local churches have either a deliverance ministry or a deliverance function. You would need to call around for this.
As you pursue your deliverance, consider making use of the following points:
- Know your enemy. The Bible shows and says from Genesis to Revelation that satan is an intelligent being who is smarter than human beings and who has the permission to harm or hurt or kill whoever he is able to. In Job 1 and 2, satan himself responds to God’s question as to his recent whereabouts that he has been “going to and fro in the earth and walking back and forth on it” (Job 1: 7; Job 2:2). Peter gives the same testimony to Christians as a warning: “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world” (1Peter 5:8-9). This warning is for all Christians. When approaching Christians, satan often harms Christians very subtly so that his presence in their life isn’t apparent and so he can stay. But the more you know how he operates, the more you can take a stand against him and force him out of your life.
- Seek out support. God’s design of every human being is that we should need others. The design of the Church is the same. As Solomon says, “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor” (Ecclesiastes 4:9). Ask a few Christians you know or trust about the spiritual bondage you’re struggling with and express your need for real-time prayer support. This helps to cover you spiritually.
- Be ready for the long haul. Jesus rightly said, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few” (Matthew 9:37). Be willing to persevere, because deliverance sometimes lags due to a shortage of deliverance ministers.
