Good day and welcome to our deliverance page for Baton Rouge, LA here at Love Flows Ministries. If you are here because you’re in need of deliverance, take heart.
We work here to help people connect in their cities and states with deliverance ministries nearby who can help them. Most deliverance ministries are not listed or can’t be found online, so we don’t know them all. We do know that many deliverance ministries are found in the local church– many of them very unassuming and functioning not as a ministry but because of God’s love compelling some church members.
It’s possible to receive deliverance and remain in sin or go back to sin. Jesus came first to save people from their sins, not from spiritual bondage, because sin separates people eternally from God whereas spiritual bondage can’t do this. If you want wholeness with your deliverance, then consider the following prayerfully:
- Separate yourself from the world. James 4:4 says, “Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God?” The Bible’s use of the word “friendship” here has to do with ‘fellowship’ or ‘being like-minded’. It isn’t telling Christians to reject or not love non-Christians or to not be ‘friendly’ to non-Christians. It’s rather telling Christians to not be like non-Christians because people who hang together have to be of the same heart, mind, and thinking. And a Christian who has those things in common with anyone is automatically opposed to and hates God. The world, the flesh, and the devil do hate God. You can’t mix God with any one of them. To separate from the world doesn’t mean you abandon the world. No, you continue to live in the world and do everything you need to do, but you refuse to conform to the values, standards, and practices of the world and instead let God transform you by implanting His own values, standards, and practices in you. (Romans 12:1-2.)
- Ask God to connect you with mature Christians. It’s hard to overexaggerate this point. Not only do we need others, but to grow in Christ we have to be in a place where we can grow. Part of that has to do with being around Christians who are mature– ie. Christians who are willing to be inconvenienced to move forward with God and not Christians whose focus is comfort and who won’t do anything that is inconvenient. Pray for God to connect you to these people. They will be of tremendous help if you meet them before your deliverance and may be the people God uses for your deliverance.
