If you are seeking deliverance from spiritual oppression or spiritual bondage or demonization, you are not alone. There are many who are and have been seeking a place to get deliverance from spiritual oppression. Some have found their deliverance, but many have not. On this page, we will give you some steps to consider that are able to help steer you in the right way to deliverance so that you don’t have to wait for years as many have:
- Deepen your relationship with God. According to my personal experience, what James says here is absolutely true: “Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you” (James 4:8). The fastest way to begin to deepen your relationship with God (ie. to draw near to God) is to communicate with Him often. I’m not talking about just formal prayer; I’m talking about talking to God through the day wherever you are: bed, shower, on the way to work, in your car, at the grocery store, etc. All relationships with intelligent beings (ie. humans and God) are built on communication and established by interaction. The more you talk to God– telling Him about your life, hopes, dreams, spiritual bondage, anything– the more you will start to sense His presence. God is the one who best knows what you need and where you need to go for deliverance, so talk to Him as often as it comes to mind.
- Seek and ask God to connect you with mature Christians. Many Christians like to think that there are no ‘levels’ or growth in Christianity. But in 1John 2:12-14, John plainly communicates three levels of maturity and calls them “little children… young men… fathers.” Little children are Christians who are either newly saved or who never grow spiritually; they want Jesus only as Savior, not Lord, and are self-centered and focused on blessings, convenience, and ease. Young men are Christians who desire a ‘tangible’ and daily relationship with God; like Saints like David, Jonathan, Jehu, Joshua, and Caleb, these people are glad to have Jesus as Lod and not just as Savior; as a direct result, they are others-centered and are the first to put their lives and reputation on the line and to do great works for God as they’re unafraid of harm or of the enemy. Fathers are Christians who have been walking with Jesus as Lord for many years and who relate to God as ‘Friend’ (not Savior or Lord); like Saints like Abraham, Moses, Samuel, Elijah, and Paul, these people might not look it but know God on another level and therefore can declare things (for you) and God will do them. When Moses asked God for a very special favor that God would do for no one else, God said to him, “I will do the very thing you have asked, because you have found favor in My sight, and I know you by name” (Exodus 33:17). And also, “You will also decree a thing, and it will be established for you” (Job 22:28). Ask God for such Christians, because He can easily deliver you through them.
