Hello and welcome to our Davenport, IA deliverance page. If you’re in need of deliverance from spiritual bondage or oppression or harassment, we’re here to help you get connected to a ministry that can help you.
Countless numbers of people are stuck in different types of spiritual bondage. Some are not Christians and some are. Along with providing contacts of the ministries we find, you can also check our Des Moines and Cedar Rapids pages. We also make ourselves available through email, text, and phone calls if you need more assistance.
The following are some steps you can practice that can help you as you seek deliverance ministry:
- Vet the deliverance ministries that you reach out to. Ask them questions so you can know how they operate, how many people they have been able to help, if they have worked with cases like yours, and what to expect.
- Gather a support group around you. We aren’t meant to live life alone. There are also many things that we aren’t meant to do alone. The Bible encourages us to do certain things with one or more others and sometimes outright states that some things won’t work if we attempt them on our own: “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor… Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him” (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12). If you have one or two people faithfully praying with and standing with you as you seek deliverance, the path to deliverance often becomes smoother and you’ll find it easier making your way forward.
- Be prepared to persevere. It’s very common for people who need (and even seek) deliverance to never find it or to go many years without finding it. Furthermore, the spirits or/and people oppressing them often will often have the upper hand. Speaking about this dynamic, Solomon said, “I went out to consider all the oppression taking place under the sun. I saw the tears of the oppressed, and they have no comforter; power is on the side of their oppressors, and they have no comforter” (Ecclesiastes 4:1). There are few Christians who are willing to give up their comforts and lifestyles to help others to be restored; as Jesus said, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few” (Luke 10:2). You’ll need perseverance and wisdom– and to ask God for lots of Grace– if your search begins to be prolonged so you don’t lose heart. As Jesus made clear: “Men always ought to pray and not lose heart” (Luke 18:1).
- Trust God. The Bible says that God is more willing to bless us than anyone else. Make God your real provider as you seek deliverance.
