The world as we know it is changing rapidly. We’re also in the final chapters of our planet’s history, and the planet is also coming to a close. Throughout history, God rarely ever (perhaps never) judged a nation until its sins were full, complete, or overflowiing the boundaries that God set for it. This was the case with Sodom and Gomorrah, and the people of Israel had to remain in slavery for a whole 430 years because “the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet complete” (Genesis 15:16).
The sins of America are gradually filling this nation’s cup, and the influence and promotion of the occult, of narcissism, of violence, and of sexual promiscuity and perversion is bringing more and more people under spiritual bondage. This spiritual bondage adds to and multiplies the sins and iniquities in America, causing mental illnesses, more occult practices, more violence, more sexual perversion, and more blasphemy of, rejection of, and rebellion against God. For those of you who are Christians, you are first in line for God’s Grace, and that includes deliverance.
The following are steps you can take that can help to facilitate finding deliverance, getting deliverance, and keeping your deliverance:
- Devote time to seeking God. Seeking God includes reading the Bible and praying; but I want to add two other aspects which are a.) contemplative prayer and b.) communication. Contemplative prayer is what I call it: you open the Bible and ask God to lead you to what He wants to speak to you about. Read through it till something catches your attention. When that happens, begin to pray over it. In time, maybe immediately, God will show you what He means to through that passage or verse. Communication isn’t formal prayer; rather, it’s talking to God through the day wherever you are and whenever you remember to: talk to him about your day, your life, your loved ones, your deliverance. Both of these cause God to draw closer to you and make it easier for you to receive from Him.
- Trust God. God is the One who loves you most and most wants you delivered, healed, and restored. God knows how much trust you have and don’t have for Him, so be forthcoming about that to Him. If you lack faith, tell Him like the father of the epileptic, “I believe. Help my unbelief” (Mark 9:24). Jesus’s apostles, aware of their shortage of faith, also said to Jesus, “Increase our faith” (Luke 17:5). Ask God to help you to trust Him. The more you trust Him, the more you will let Him lead and guide you as you seek deliverance.
