Be aware that you can call or ask your local churches if they have a deliverance ministry or if they have anyone in the church who can help you with your deliverance. Sometimes it depends on how you phrase it because some churches do perform deliverance only as a function of Jesus’s love for His people and not as a separate ministry within the church.
There are many, many, many people who need deliverance. Some are aware of it; most are not. In the West, we don’t want to be second best. We want to be gods– captains of our ships and masters of our fate. We want to be the apex predators, the smartest specie in existence, the most powerful entity there is, and the most beautiful of all creation. Because of that, we tend to dismiss the spirit realm because if it exists, basically all the implications are that we are not the apex predators, the smartest in existence, the most powerful, or the most beautiful creation; they are.
Afraid of being second best, the West gave names to problems that we can’t handle with our five physical senses and end up labeling such problems as well as the people who have them. But mental illnesses and even pysical ailments and sicknesses and diseases and body deformities (from the womb or after) are sometimes the work of evil spirits or are from natural causes but are made worse or exacerbated by evil spirits. If you are a Christian, are suffering from demonic oppression, and are seeking deliverance, then you probably just want the truth that makes you free and don’t care much for people’s opinions. Here are some things you can do that can help facilitate your deliverance:
- Connect with a Bible study. The simpler the Bible study, the better. Hearing God’s Word and being with one or more people who are reading it has a positive spiritual effect on your spirit and makes you open to God.
- Ask God to connect you with a mature Christian. A mature Christian doesn’t know everything, but he or she is willing to listen and be patient until he/she learns something new. They’re mature, therefore they have a high chance of hearing from or experiencing God when other Christians around them aren’t. If you have one such person on your side, it will definitely speed up your journey to deliverance.
