The world is spiritually getting darker due to the influence of sin, rebellion, permissiveness, spiritual compromise, and occult activity. Many people are in bondage. Some of them aren’t aware of it or don’t know the origin of their issues– whether the issues are physical, mental, psychological, emotional, sexual, financial, social, etc., in nature. Some do know they’re under spiritual bondage or oppression.
Among Christians, many of the ones in bondage are seeking deliverance ministry. Many can’t find it sometimes because “the harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few” (Luke 10:2). Other times, deliverance is hard to find due to ignorance, a lack of understanding of spiritual things, and a lack of love and compassion among those who minister. This page is to provide those in and around Montgomery with some contacts who might help them get the deliverance they need. These are some helpful steps you can take as you seek deliverance:
- Share your need with God often. God knows what we need before we ask. Many times, the asking is for us not for Him. The more you communicate with God, the more you become aware of Him. This allows you to hear and perceive His leading more. Share with Him your need for deliverance, and ask Him to connect you with the right person or ministry to get your deliverance.
- Get personal support. Tell a few Christians you trust about your need and ask for their emotional and spiritual support. There is more power available when two or more people agree on the same thing than when just one person is seeking or pursuing or asking for that thing. Jesus said, “If any two of you agree on earth as touching anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in Heaven” (Matthew 18:19).
- Trust God to bring things about. David said, “Commit your way to the Lord; trust also in Him, and He will bring it to pass” (Psalm 37:5), and his son Solomon said, “The preparations of the heart belong to man, but the answer is from the Lord” (Proverbs 16:1). Do your part of communing with God often and drawing on the support of other believers– which are all part of preparing your heart– and God will do His part of connecting you with someone(s) to get your deliverance.
Also know you can call local churches in your area and ask them if they can help deliver you from spiritual bondage. May God bless and guide you as you seek deliverance which Jesus called “the children’s bread” (Matthew 15:26) and which is firstly reserved for Christians.
