Hello and welcome to Love Flows Ministries. This is our Portland, OR deliverance page. We made this page for residents of Portland and around who are in need of deliverance ministry. We have listed several ministries below that you can contact. Always remember to vet each ministry that you contact to see if it is a good fit for you.
If you’re experiencing spiritual oppression or bondage and are seeking deliverance, you are not alone. Many people, including Christians, are suffering from spiritual oppression, bondage, harassment, and curses. Many of these people seek help in or are referred to mental health services; some use drugs and other distractions to cope. If you are a Christian, then you might know that Jesus is able to resolve all spiritual bondage. Come with me as we look at the following points that can help you a great deal as you pursue deliverance:
- Vet prospective ministries. I stated this above. Whether you’re contacting a ministry or a church for deliverance, be sure to ask all the questions you feel are necessary to determine which ministry is good or best for you.
- Know your enemy. From the Old Testament to the New Testament, the Bible often tells us that satan is both crafty and able to steal, kill, destroy, harm, and negatively affect human beings, God’s people and Christians included. Peter says, “Be alert and sober-minded, because your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, steadfast in your faith, because you know that your brethren around the world are undergoing the same sufferings” (1Peter 5:8-9). The enemy is stalking and also negatively affecting Christians all over the world. Knowing and accepting this allows you to make sense of some things in your life that you might blame on people, on yourself, or on ‘chance’ and therefore allows you to have better control as you navigate your way toward deliverance.
- Get support. We live in a pretentious society where people say they are independent, masters of their fate, captains of their ship, and all the other things the Bible says that the carnal man inside all people– Christians and non-Christians– strives to actualize. But the fact is that people need people. Period. Tell a few Christians who you trust about your need, and ask them for prayer support. If you don’t have anyone, ask God to send you encouragement.
- Trust God. Jesus told a parable “to the end that men always ought to pray and not lose heart” (Luke 18:1). Finding deliverance might take a while, but don’t give up.
